2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport – Loads of space for the whole family

santaFe_cov_July16You work hard, so when you get a chance to take the family out, you get everyone together and load up the car. Whether to a ball game or the movies, the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport would be the perfect night out vehicle.

The new Santa Fe Sport is equally at home on the road for your morning commute and a weekend camping trip with all the kids and the dog.

Hyundai gave the Santa Fe Sport a smoother look for 2017. It softened the lines on the front and rear fascia, added an updated bumper, larger grille and revised the fog light design polishing off the front of the vehicle.

While the updated appearance looks great, the ride inside is what makes this a good choice for daily travel or evenings out.

Comfort and Control

The interior has been refreshed with updates to existing equipment. The power passenger seat now has a height adjustment button. There is a standard 5-inch display screen with an optional 7-inch display, and the control buttons have been moved under the display instead of beside it. This makes it easier to make adjustments while driving.

The 7-inch screen is a touch screen with Android Auto, which is an information centre that neatly organises useful information like messages and maps on the screen. This keeps you focused on the road and not on your screen.

The driver’s seat and the front passenger’s seat have both heat and ventilation. For summer driving, the ventilated seats will help keep you cool, and in the winter, you will love the heated seats that keep you warm.  Both conveniences make it much more comfortable to take long trips in your Santa Fe Sport.

Passengers and Cargo

santaFe_int_July16If your night out involves playing any type of sports with the kids, you are going to like the flexible storage options in the Santa Fe Sport.

The passenger area offers a 40/20/40 split configuration that gives you plenty of room for longer items like golf clubs. Comfort is important to passengers, so the rear seat reclines for quick naps on long trips.

A sliding second row lets you move the seat forward towards the front passenger side. This is the perfect solution for riding with small children in child seats. It lets you reach them without climbing over seats or pulling over to make adjustments or take care of them.

If the split configuration does not give you enough room, Hyundai added a little hidden compartment under the cargo floor. You can add balls, mitts and other equipment in the 51L of extra space.  Of course, you can always add cross rail roof racks or a cargo box to the top for bigger pieces of equipment like camping gear or snowboards.

Trim Package Choices

The Santa Fe Sport comes with FWD or AWD, and it offers a 2.0L or a 2.4L engine. There are a number of trim packages to choose from, with the Ultimate adding the most extras like an upgraded entertainment system, a navigational system, a sunroof and more. All models are equipped with high-tech safety features.

A night out on the town can quickly turn into a weekend getaway for the whole family in the new Santa Fe Sport. Stop by and test drive yours today.
