Hyundai Auto Canada reports 10 consecutive best-ever months with 14,604 retail sales in July, including an all-time sales record for Genesis Canada

  • Genesis Canada sets a new all-time record, with 803 sales in July, up 51 per cent
  • GV70 continues to be the top-selling vehicle for Genesis in Canada, with total units sold cresting the 15,000-unit milestone since its market launch in 2021, including 567 sold in July, bringing the grand total to 15,204
  • A new all-time sales record for Tucson at 4,132 units, up 123 per cent
  • Calendar year-to-date, combined retail sales for Genesis and Hyundai in Canada are up 15 per cent, with 92,941 units sold
  • July also marks a new record for Hyundai Promise Certified Pre-Owned with 2,423 units sold

Markham, ONT. (August 1, 2025) – Hyundai Auto Canada is proud to report 10 consecutive months of record-breaking sales growth, with 14,604 vehicles delivered in July, representing a year-over-year increase of 23 per cent in combined sales for the Hyundai and Genesis brands. Genesis Motors Canada saw its best month in its history, selling 803 units in July, a 51 per cent increase compared to the same period last year. Sales for Hyundai vehicles in July are 13,801, up 22 per cent.

This growth was driven by Tucson (all three powertrains) with 4,132 units sold, up 123 per cent, and Kona (EV and ICE), which was a high performer in its competitive segment through 2,962 sales, up 27 per cent YoY.

The Venue, IONIQ 6 and Elantra also saw steady growth in July with sales increases of 47 per cent; 27 per cent; and 21 per cent, respectively.

Hyundai’s electrified lineup sold 4,329 units a YoY increase of 13 per cent, with the Kona Electric leading in pure EV sales, and Tucson the leader for HEV sales. Sales of the IONIQ 9 through just over two months of sales amount to 412.

July was the best month ever for Genesis Canada, selling 803 units — a 51 per cent increase year-over-year. The GV70 and GV80 models led in volume, and the G70 sedan posted a gain of 43 per cent.
