Markham, Ont. (December 11, 2025)
 – Tomorrow (Friday), Hyundai Auto Canada (HAC)’s president and CEO, COO, and team members at all levels will join forces with Hyundai Motor Finance, PBS Systems Inc., Kanvas Studio Inc., Keyloop, Shell Canada, and the Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS) to support individuals experiencing homelessness in York Region. For the fourth consecutive year, Hyundai Canada is leading this powerhouse team at the annual tournament, raising more than $13,500 to help those in need.

“Hockey Helps the Homeless is an incredible initiative that brings together our employees, our partners and vendors to face off against homelessness,” says Steve Flamand, president and CEO of Hyundai Auto Canada. “It’s a powerful way to close out the year, uniting through our shared love of hockey to make a real difference.”

Over the last four years, Hyundai Canada and its partners will have contributed more than $57,500 to combat homelessness in York Region. All funds raised directly benefit 360°kids, which aids youth in crisis, and Blue Door, which focuses on fostering stable housing. Hyundai Auto Canada has had a long-standing partnership with 360ºkids and participates annually in its 360ºExperience Challenge, an initiative designed to raise awareness and funds to fight youth homelessness.

Since 1996 Hockey Helps the Homeless has been organizing Pro-Am hockey tournaments across Canada where amateur players skate alongside NHL alumni and Olympians.

The aim is to raise funds and awareness for homelessness while giving participants a unique hockey experience. With the funds raised, they work with local partner agencies to provide a variety of services, such as emergency shelter, transitional housing, and mentorship programs for those currently experiencing homelessness of all ages and backgrounds. Their goals is to create long term solutions to end homelessness across the country.
