Hyundai Canada recognized as top subsidiary of Hyundai globally for 2019, records outstanding business performance

Hyundai Canada has been proudly recognized as the Hyundai Motor Company’s best performing subsidiary in 2019, and was honoured with the Platinum Award of Excellence by Hyundai Motor Group Executive Vice Chairman Euisun Chung.

Hyundai Canada was chosen as the 2019 winner due to its impressive sales results, overall profitability and delivering excellent customer experience. The business outperformed the declining automotive market, achieving four consecutive months of record sales and increasing its overall market share to seven per cent.

Much of this success is attributed to the brand’s modern premium identity coming to life across all areas of the business. Hyundai launched its most premium products to date including the first-ever Palisade, Venue and all-new Sonata, all of which have been received exceptionally well by Canadians. The dedicated group of Hyundai dealers have also been instrumental to the brand’s performance, having worked to greatly enhance their facilities and integrate new online shopping tools that elevate customer experience.

To date, Hyundai Canada has sold 133,207 units in 2019. The newest addition to the Hyundai family, the all-new Sonata, will arrive at dealerships in early 2020.
