MARKHAM, ONT. (September 15, 2025)
 – To mark the Canadian debut of the all-new Elantra N TCR Edition and celebrate the 10th anniversary of Hyundai’s N performance brand globally, Hyundai Canada hosted an unforgettable track experience for 10 of its most loyal and passionate N customers a.k.a. “N-thusiasts” on August 12-13.

The celebration began with a special N-themed dinner, bringing together media, content creators, and Hyundai’s invited N-thusiasts. The following day, guests gathered at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Ontario for a full day of high-performance driving and advanced track instruction.

Participants had the opportunity to get behind the wheel of both the Elantra N and the Elantra N TCR Edition, experiencing their dynamic capabilities first-hand. The day kicked off with a driving clinic led by Lawrence Howlett of Morrisport Advanced Driving, followed by on-track coaching from a roster of elite professional instructors.

Also in attendance was Mark Wilkins, Canadian racing driver and factory driver for Bryan Herta Autosport. Wilkins, who pilots the Elantra N TCR in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, shared insights from his racing career, which includes victories at the Rolex 24 at Daytona and 12 Hours of Sebring.

With each customer invited to bring a guest, a total of 20 drivers took part in this once-in-a-lifetime experience. In addition to track time with the Elantra N and Elantra N TCR Edition, guests enjoyed exclusive access to Hyundai’s team and behind-the-scenes stories from the world of motorsport. Two IONIQ 5 N units were also available for a slalom segment just outside the track. Mark Wilkins enthusiastically demonstrated the incredible acceleration of this 641-hp EV, launching from 0 to 100 km/h with passengers on board in just 3.4 seconds using the N Grin Boost feature.

A growing community
To select the 10 N-thusiasts invited to this exclusive event, Hyundai Canada collaborated with its national dealer network. Dealers were asked to nominate their most loyal and passionate N customers, and from those submissions, one standout was chosen from each province. The group was a mixture of Veloster N; Kona N; Elantra N and IONIQ 5 N owners.

The selection process was no easy task. Since the Canadian launch of the first N vehicle in 2019, Hyundai has sold over 5,300 N vehicles in Canada, and the community continues to grow rapidly. From local meetups and track days to online forums and social media groups, the Canadian N community is more vibrant and engaged than ever.

Hyundai Canada remains committed to nurturing this passionate group of performance enthusiasts and looks forward to delivering even more exciting experiences in the years to come.

“This event was a celebration of passion for performance, and for the incredible community that has grown around the N brand in Canada,” said Michael Ricciuto, director, product and corporate strategy at Hyundai Auto Canada and IONIQ 5 N driver. “We’re proud to recognize our most dedicated N-thusiasts and to provide them with a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience the N TCR Edition where it belongs – on a technical racetrack.”

All costs related to this special event, including hotel stays and flights from all over Canada, were covered by Hyundai Auto Canada.

About Hyundai’s N brand
Established in 2015, the N brand was first introduced by Hyundai at the Frankfurt Motor Show, along with the N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo concept. N vehicles quickly proved their worth in motorsport, and the technology made its first appearance in a production vehicle in 2017 with the i30 N. In North America, the Veloster was the first to feature an N variant in 2019. The Kona N and Elantra N followed in 2022. Hyundai’s N lineup recently made its first foray into the electric vehicle world with the launch of the IONIQ 5 N, a 641-hp all-electric SUV capable of going from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds on a racetrack.

With a decade of high-performance innovation and a dedicated community of enthusiasts, Hyundai’s N brand continues to push the limits of driving excitement—on the track and the open road.
