Toronto, Ont
. (April 24, 2026) — Ontario’s Hyundai dealer community turned up the volume on hope last Saturday night, coming together at Toronto’s legendary El Mocambo live music venue for Whole Lotta Hope, a first-ever benefit concert in support of Hyundai Hope on Wheels in Canada. Hosted by the province’s 80 Hyundai dealers, the event raised more than $312,000 to advance pediatric cancer research, clinical trials and patient care programs nationwide.

The Whole Lotta Hope event was organized by Rein Knol, board chair of Hyundai Hope on Wheels, president and CEO of Performance Hyundai, and keyboardist for Whole Lotta Love. Held as part of El Mocambo’s Music That Moves event series, the evening brought together Hyundai’s Ontario dealer network for a high-energy concert experience with a clear purpose: raising funds and awareness for children and families facing pediatric cancer. The event featured two live performances by Whole Lotta Love, a charity casino, live auction hosted by Layne the Auctionista, a DJ and additional fundraising activations throughout the night.

“Music has an incredible ability to unite people, and when it brings us together in support of kids fighting cancer, it becomes truly powerful,” said Rein Knol, board chair of Hyundai Hope on Wheels and president and CEO of Performance Hyundai. “Whole Lotta Hope showed what’s possible when Ontario’s Hyundai dealers come together behind a cause bigger than any one dealership. I’m incredibly proud of this community and grateful to everyone who helped make the evening such a success.”

Known for delivering an authentic, high‑energy recreation of the classic hits from the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin, the group, Whole Lotta Love, played two memorable sets and created a one-of-a-kind concert experience that’s never been done before for Hyundai Hope on Wheels.

The event drew approximately 300 attendees, bringing together dealership leaders and Hyundai Canada leadership. With over $300,000 raised, the success of the evening showcased the strength of Hyundai’s dealer community and its shared commitment to driving hope, advancing research and supporting families when they need it most. The event was generously supported by lead sponsors Hyundai Canada, CDK and Hyundai Motor Finance, with additional major support from Trader Corporation, Scotiabank, Otolane, EBlock and Cars.ca. Hyundai Hope on Wheels is deeply grateful to all event sponsors, benefactors, financial contributors and in-kind partners whose generosity helped make the evening possible. A complete list of sponsors, partners and participating dealerships is included in the appendix. All proceeds from the evening were donated directly to Hyundai Hope on Wheels in Canada, supporting pediatric cancer research, clinical trials and patient care programs nationwide.

Hyundai Hope on Wheels, a registered charitable foundation established in Canada in 2025, is one of Canada’s largest funders of pediatric cancer research across the country. It supports advancing breakthrough treatments while delivering hope to children and their families.

In 2026, Hyundai Hope on Wheels is strengthening its commitment to ending childhood cancer through a new national partnership with the C17 Council, announced at the Toronto International Auto Show. The partnership includes the launch of a $1 million Research Grant Fund, supporting four pediatric cancer research projects as part of Hyundai Hope on Wheels’ broader $4.1 million commitment to advance research and improve outcomes for children with cancer.
