The 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe: When You Need to Get There

When it comes time to hit the roads for your summer getaway, load up the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe and explore Canada.

The XL Model

The 2017 Santa Fe comes in two models: the XL and the Sport. Both come with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. No matter which model you prefer, they are both loaded with all of the amenities that make travel in this SUV fun and exciting. Plus, you can add even more equipment by choosing trim packages to go on your Santa Fe.

All XL trim levels come with a 290-horse 3.3-litre 6-clyninder GDI engine powered by a 6-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC® manual transmission.

Standard equipment on all trims include heated outside mirrors, solar control tinted glass, heated front seats, and 50/50 split third-row bench seat. For comfort, Hyundai installed rear seat air conditioning and heating vents in order to keep passengers comfortable. Available heated rear seats are part of the high-end trim packages.

When you equip your XL with AWD and the Premium package, you get additional convenience options like proximity key push button start and a driver’s seat that you can adjust 12 different ways for maximum comfort. You also get dual-zone climate control for the front seats.

A step up to the Luxury package adds leather seats and a panoramic sunroof so everyone can see the view from the back. The Santa Fe can seat either six or seven depending upon the package you choose.

A Smart Power Liftgate gives you easy access to the cargo hold without the need to kick your foot. Hyundai built in extra cargo space under the floor, so you can put valuables out of sight.

The Limited trim changes out the 18-inch wheels for 19-inch ones and upgrades the stereo system to an Infinity premium system with 12 speakers. In addition, you can add a tow package that gives you a trailer hitch and ball.

The Ultimate package gives you everything in all the other packages, but it adds to the high-tech safety equipment by offering Lane Departure Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection and a multi-view camera.

Captain’s chairs are available for the second row if you want to give your passengers more comfort. This reduces the seating to six.

The Sport Model

The Sport comes powered with the 2.4-litre GDI engine that is both efficient and powerful, or you can upgrade the engine to the 240-horse 2.0-litre twin-scroll turbo GDI. Either way, you will find that the Santa Fe Sport is nimble and fun to drive.

The base trim includes front-wheel drive, but you can upgrade to all-wheel drive for even better handling. Standard in all models are heated front seats and 17-inch alloy wheels. When you upgrade to AWD, you add a 12-way power driver’s seat that offers comfort for long rides. Another plus is a heated steering wheel that makes bitter cold mornings easier to bear.

Other trim packages include Premium, Luxury and Limited, and each one builds upon the previous package and is similar to the XL packages, including the tow package.

No matter how you dress it up, the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe can be equipped to meet your lifestyle. The 2018 Santa Fe comes in additional trim packages.
